One of the best kitchen "appliances" that I own is a mini blender (click the photo to see which one I have - it's currently on sale at Kohl's for just $19.99!!). I start off almost every day with a green smoothie, and my mini blender is the perfect way to make it! It's so easy to chop up some fruits and veggies, throw them in with some coconut milk and kale, and blend away.. A delicious, portable breakfast that's ready in just a couple minutes - it's totally up my alley!
I always start my smoothies off with a banana, there's usually avocado in there and often I'll use pears as a main ingredient. I always use coconut milk as the liquid ingredient and add in a Tablespoon of flax seed and a handful of spinach or kale to top it off. Don't worry, you won't taste the greens or flax seed, but they provide some amazing health benefits and are said to be cancer fighting foods.
