Tonight we welcome a brand new year, a new start, 365 new days to begin with a smile
and a positive attitude. I sincerely hope that 2014 is better than
2013, (not that 2013 was a bad year by any means), and that this new year offers great opportunities to take
hold of.
I have a few goals for this year, some are pretty basic, some are just a good idea. I know that they're all achievable if I put my mind to it ;-) I'll be writing more in-depth about my goals in a later post, and I'll probably have some more goals to add to the list soon too.
- Start a thankful jar
- Create a solid budget and stick to it
- Pay off our credit card debt
- Increase our savings
- Create less waste!!!
- Drink more H2O
- Hang out with friends more often! (and make more new friends)
So to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another, I'll be making Chicken Milano (another of hubby's favorite meals) for dinner, and we'll probably be watching some movies until who knows when. I'll also be making a cocktail...or two, for myself. And tomorrow the new year will start along with (hopefully) some new habits.
Cheers!
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
~Alfred, Lord Tennyson, 1850
