I'm just like any other girl, who loves some good wine...one of my favorites is from a local winery in the Finger Lakes region of New York (where all the best wine comes from!!). Heron Hill has three tasting rooms but I was first introduced to their wine at their booth at the Rochester Public Market. My favorite is the Game Bird White, although their Game Bird Red is pretty good too..
My whole point is that sometimes wine bottle corks can accumulate pretty quickly, and sometimes you just don't want to throw them out! Here are some cool wine cork crafts - some are very useful and some are just totally adorable!
The instructions for these adorable cork animals are over at mollymoo. I think they're brilliant and totally cute! PS. While you're over at mollymoo's site, check out all the other fun crafts (they're are even some for kids).
Make a wine cork bathmat!! Now I don't have anywhere near enough corks for this project, but maybe you do! The directions are here, this looks like a super fun project to try. I'm not entirely sure on the durability of this project, so it would probably work best in a guest bathroom that's not used every single day.
Make a bulletin board from wine corks glued into a picture frame. Brilliant!!
These keychains would be a great Christmas gift, and they are super easy. As always, make sure you cruise around over at Simple Crafter because she has some other really great projects on her site!

Wine cork thumbtacks! Over at The Wooden Bee website you will find the DIY instructions for this project, and some wine cork craft kits to make coasters and trivets.
Finally, head on over to www.sheknows.com for some kids crafts using wine corks.
Looks like fun!
HAPPY CRAFTING!!!
