Happy Birthday!!
Happy 1st birthday to our little nugget, Amélie Olivia Cleona Carter!

Amélie is a beautiful red and white Pembroke Welsh Corgi who we brought home in July of 2012..when she was 3 months old. Even with all her annoying quirks, she's the most loving puppy ever - she shows it by licking the skin off my arm when I get home from work!

Amélie weighs about 25 pounds right now, right on track for her age. She probably won't get over 28 to 30 pounds full-grown (they say she could still keep growing into her frame for another year). She loves all her toys and playing with her brother, Parker, although she has a hard time playing nicely! She loves to lay on the couch with us, but tends to not care about our comfort, only her own. She's very much a people dog and hates it when her people aren't in the same room with her!
Ami plans on celebrating her 1st birthday by indulging in a Busy Bone. Delish!!

What a cutie she is!!! I love when animals obviously love "their people" - my cat is very much the same way (though she doesn't want to admit it). Corgis are the cutest. I love how low their little bodies are to the ground! :)
