Music and A Workout Buddy Make the Time Pass Faster...

To wrap up my week, I had to get a new pair of earbuds...which I hate buying because they are so darn expensive!!!  But I found these awesome ones at Target, called yurbuds... They totally stay put and are smaller and more comfortable than typical earbuds.  I spent $30 on them but I think it was a worthy investment.  I don't have to worry about sweat causing my headphones to fall out of my ears and then only being able to listen with one earbud because the other one won't stay in, *sigh* oh the drama..but anyway, I put them through the test and they stayed put in my ears, no worry that they would fall out!

I got mine at Target for $29.99.  They come in all different colors, but for obvious reasons, I chose green....

I worked out Monday night with my friend, co-worker, and workout buddy, Nina (yeah, she's just that awesome).  Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday I went by myself, which was cool because I whipped up a pretty sweet song list to make the time go by faster...I also got the Zumba Fitness DVD for the Kinect - I don't think I did more than 30 minutes and I had sweat dripping off my face!  Who says the Xbox isn't good exercise??  ;-)

And I feel good - a bit sore, but energized at the same time. 4 times at the gym in one week has got to be a record for me, so I'm happy with that. I only lost about half a pound last week.  I had lost almost 1 1/2 pounds at my weigh-in on Friday but somehow I gained it back in the last two days (mega bummer).  I'm excited to get back to the gym though (which is probably the craziest thing anyone will ever hear me say) but I'm really hoping that this time around, the gym will be my ticket to a healthier, less heavy, me.
